The Hawaiian islands consist of 6 major islands (listed
at left). The islands vary widely in size, geography, and
population.
In a nutshell: Oahu has Honolulu and is the most populated. Kauai is remote. Molokai is just for visiting Lanai is remote. Maui is quiet and mostly tourists - highly recommended for the average vacationer. Big Island is the largest and has the active volacanos. Click on the left tabs for more details. |
